Our Workshops
We offer several workshops within our company.

Our main format is our 2 hours session. This consists of a performance containing issues relevant to the demographics of the current client group, then a TIE workshop that is tailored around the themes and issues of the performance to consolidate the information presented.
Most recently, TIElly performed in Stef Smith's Girl in the Machine(2017), which came equipt with a 30-40 minute workshop plan that was tailored to the performance for TIE audiences.
However, whilst this is our default format, we also offer others such as our weekly school programme.

Our Workshop Principals
Client Communication
We pride ourselves on communication with the client. This allows us as facillitators to identify any special approaches that a particular client group may require. It also ensures that workshops created for clients are accessible and enjoyable for all participants.

Student-Led Practises
Working under the ethos of Dorothy Heathcote, TIElly believe that the student should be placed at the centre of the learning. We see our role, within these workshops, as facilitators of learning, not teachers. There are no wrong answers, merely points of discussion.

Safe-Space Environment
In our sessions, we aim to create a safe and comfortable environment in which our participants feel fully able to effectively express themselves, whilst exploring various factors of life that are a safe distance from their own experiences

Small Group Work
TIElly work typically with a maximum of 30 participants per session in order to balance the ratio of facilitators to participants. In doing so, we hope to maximise the inclusivity and participation of our workshops and allow for every child to be heard in their group.
